Moving On
So we moved on down the road to Falling Waters State Park to check out Florida’s highest waterfall. Like the wolf preserve, it is also near Chipley.

Highest Waterfall in Florida
The waterfall is 100 feet deep and the biggest sinkholes I have ever seen surround it. There is a wooden boardwalk that threads its way through the huge fern-covered holes toward the falls. This is called the Sinkhole Trail. When you get to the falls it is a little underwhelming. It is not that wide (only 20 feet), but it does go down a long way (75 feet) and no one knows where the water finally ends up. How do we not know the final destination of this water? We can send a man to the moon…
