Don’t Fall for it

Our friend told us to go to The Strat for dinner. This restaurant is located on the top floor of the tallest building in Las Vegas. And, it rotates 360 degrees every 80 minutes. While we were sitting waiting to be served, a strange thing happened. It was at night but still, one could see bodies falling off of the roof. Actual people were falling past the windows. I could see their dark forms zipping past me every few minutes as I gazed at the lights of Las Vegas. This was a really shocking thing. It was rather gruesome and I sort of lost my appetite.

The Food Wasn’t That Bad

I said to Maureen, “Did you see that?” She said that she did. I said, “Is the food that bad here?” She just looked at me, possibly wondering if the food really is bad and we should go before it gets to us. We sat bewildered for a few more minutes until we finally spied a notice pinned to the frame of one of the windows. It read (and I am paraphrasing), “Please do not be alarmed if you see people jumping off the top of the building. Everything is okay. They are bungee jumping.” Management
That’s a weird way to get your kicks.

Small Things Amuse Small Minds

Maureen had fun getting up every 10 minutes to go to the bathroom. She stayed there for as long as possible and then returned to our table. She said it was confusing because the room had moved, and the trick was finding our table again.
