Arriving at Venice Beach, California
The people didn’t look that weird or freaky. But maybe it really gears up in the summer. Or maybe it gets better at night.
I don’t know if this person said, “Ouch!!” because you are not allowed to perform after sunset or because there is no way you will be afforded an uninterrupted snooze if they close the beach from 2 am to 5 am.
Shul on the Beach
There used to be a thriving Jewish community on Venice Beach. There isn’t much left of it except for this synagogue. I thought the Egyptian store right beside the synagogue was interesting. A little bit of the Mideast squeezed together on the beach.
Cool Apartment Building
I can see myself as a teenager living in this building running loose on Venice Beach and climbing up to the roof every night to check out the surf and stars. Yep, definitely.
