Pontorson
We initially thought of going to see the WWII beaches of Normandy. Unfortunately, we could not make it there and back from Mont Saint Michel in one day. We were able to get to Saint-Malo in one day even though we were told by our hotel on Mont Saint Michel that it would be “too complicated.” It was a question of taking a bus and a train. That’s it.
We took a bus to Pontorson and then the train to Saint-Malo.
While waiting for the train, we came across this wonderful treehouse.
The treehouse stands beside this stately, old house.
Underneath the treehouse sits a boy waiting for his friends to come and play.

Stop
Allow me to point out that in France, where they speak French, the universal English word for stop is used. In Quebec, Canada, you have an “Arrêt” sign instead of a “Stop” sign. Why? Because God forbid you would use the hateful English word “stop”. What do you expect in a country with an “Office of the French Language”? If France is cool with it why can’t the Québécois be cool with it? Because they’re just not cool and never will be.
Mistletoe Everywhere on the way to Saint-Malo
Riding through the countryside on the way to Saint-Malo were colonies of mistletoe. I’ve never seen so much mistletoe in one place. Do they not know that it is a parasite? It will eventually kill all these defenseless tree hosts.
