Washington Square, San Francisco
Saints Peter and Paul Church
These are the spires of the church that sits across the street from Washington Square. It’s so cool to be at eye level with them. It gives you an idea of just how high these hills can be in Frisco.
Here is the same church seen from ground level at Washington Square.
A forlorn lion with wings is one of the creatures on the facade of the church. Maybe he is sad because there are thousands of thorns surrounding him. It looks like these spiny things are there on purpose. Are they there to deter vandalism? Are they lights? They are on all the church sculptures.
